During your stay at OasiMaremma Village, one of the topics that comes up most often in conversations with our guests is the sea. Not only where to go, but especially what type of beach to choose: convenient or wild, organized or immersed in nature. In this sense, Cala Violina is certainly the most well-known, but it is not the only one.
In the surrounding area you will find several coves and stretches of coast that are part of the Bandite di Scarlino Nature Reserve, places where the sea is experienced differently compared to traditional beaches. Here there are no waterfronts or crowded beach clubs, but trails, pine forests and small inlets to reach on foot, to experience calmly and with respect for the environment.

Cala Violina
Cala Violina is famous for its light sand and transparent sea, and is accessible with regulated entry to protect its natural balance. It represents a valid alternative to more crowded beaches, especially for those seeking clean sea, silence and unspoiled landscapes.
Please note if you want to visit Cala Violina beach, as during the summer season and usually from June 1 to September 30 access to the beach is limited to 700 people per day and advance booking is recommended to guarantee entry. Cala Martina
Cala Martina is one of the most authentic small coves in the area and retains an almost wild charm. Here the landscape takes center stage: clear sea, unspoiled nature and very little human presence. It is a cove to be experienced calmly, bringing the essentials with you and letting yourself be guided by the slow rhythm of the place. The beach is more intimate compared to Cala Violina and the seabed becomes rapidly deep, making it ideal for those who love swimming and snorkeling. It is a perfect choice for those seeking silence and direct contact with the most natural Maremma.
It is the second most well-known cove after Cala Violina.

Cala Civette
Cala Civette is less known and precisely for this reason much appreciated by those who regularly visit the Bandite di Scarlino. The atmosphere is intimate and private, with a coastline that alternates sand and rocks and a particularly clean sea. It is a cove we recommend to those who love walking and discovering less beaten paths, without expecting services or comforts. You come here to truly disconnect, read a book, take a swim and enjoy the silence, away from the more frequented beaches.
Less famous, but much appreciated by those who know the area.

Cala del Pozzino
Cala del Pozzino has a different character compared to the others: more rocky, more secluded and decidedly less touristy. It is a small cove that offers great satisfaction to those who love clear sea and deep waters, ideal for observing the seabed. The setting is very natural and the non-immediate access helps keep it uncrowded even in high season. It is a destination suitable for those seeking a true escape, perhaps for a few hours, knowing they need to organize independently.

The small inlets between Puntone and Cala Violina
Beyond the better-known coves, along the coast between Puntone and Cala Violina you will find numerous small inlets without a specific name. They are corners of coastline where nature is still the protagonist, often reachable only on foot or by sea. They are not “postcard” beaches, but authentic places, ideal for those who love exploring and stopping where the landscape inspires them. Here every day is different and the beauty lies precisely in discovering the right place at the right moment.
